Artwork Description
'Green Stack (collar)’ was made during my artist residency at Blackhorse Workshop, East London, during which was thinking around the sculptural possibilities of wood-turning and its relationship to toolmaking and garment production. This object deconstructs various shaping forms found within millenary blocks, reconfiguring them into a kind of abstracted totem. The work considers the boundaries of costume and tool/ mould, dressing the stack with embellishments taken from items of clothing and furniture.
