Artwork Description

Call and Response, like my other paintings, explores the distortion of fragmented memories through nostalgia and unreliable narration. The image is split in two canvasses, highlighting not only the ''cropping'' process of translating the photo into the painting, but also imposing the physical form of the canvas itself as part of the work.
